Description:
The objective of the consultation is tobetter support stakeholders in the process of implementing carbon pricingtools, in particular through training, capacity building and the development ofcarbon pilot projects.Specifically,this will involve:- Inform on national andinternational mechanisms relating to GHG emissions, mitigation policiesincluding the NDC and national mitigation policies- Ensure a better understandingof the carbon tax process, its role and the implications to be expected;- Facilitate a betterunderstanding of the carbon market process and the development of eligibleprojects;- Create a critical mass ofexperts in the field of MRV and carbon pricing tools;- Train stakeholders on thebasic principles concerning the validation and verification of carbon projects.- Strengthen Senegal-s carbonproject portfolio;- Familiarize project leadersand private sector stakeholders with the key elements of a detailed carbonproject document.
