Description:
The International Labor Office (ILO) is looking for an external collaborator (consultant) qualified to carry out a Green Jobs Diagnostic for a Just Transition. This work includes an assessment of the effects of climate change and environment, as well as transition and adaptation processes, on the economy and the labor market in Senegal. This work will provide operational analysis on the most vulnerable sectors, industries and occupations, while mapping emerging opportunities in green and traditional sectors as well as evolving skills needs. The diagnosis takes into account the implications for the quality of work, workers' rights and social protection, and addresses attention to vulnerable groups and gender dynamics. An estimation of the extent of green employment in national labor force statistics will be considered, depending on its added value for national stakeholders. Finally, the The diagnosis proposes targeted policy measures to minimize disruption and maximize decent employment opportunities, which will inform policy formulation and implementation, such as the National Employment Policy.
